Creating Dynamic VFX for a Mobile Runner Game

The objective of this case study project was creating visually appealing and dynamic visual effects (VFX) for a mobile runner game that featured dinosaurs as the main characters. The project focused on the technical and artistic aspects of VFX creation, with a goal of enhancing the gameplay experience and immersing players in the game's world.

The scope of the project covered the creation of various VFX, including particle effects, explosions, environmental effects, and character animations. The project explored different techniques and software tools used for VFX creation and integration into the game engine. The project also covered the challenges faced during the creation process and the solutions that were implemented to overcome them.

The project began with research on the game's theme and mechanics, as well as on the behavior and movements of dinosaurs. The research helped to create a foundation for the design and implementation of the VFX. The next step was to create concept art and storyboards to establish the visual style and tone of the VFX.

After the concept art was approved, the VFX creation process began, starting with the creation of particle effects such as dust, smoke, and debris. Next, environmental effects such as weather effects and lighting were created, followed by explosions and other dynamic effects. Finally, character animations and VFX were integrated into the game engine and tested for functionality and performance.

Some of the challenges that arose during the project included optimizing the VFX for performance on mobile devices, ensuring that the VFX were visually appealing and realistic, and working within the limitations of the game engine and software tools.
